The Mermaid Grotto installation was inspired by the Sacred Kiss but offers a more playful context for the healing energies.
This idea was first tested at In the House festival 2009 fundraiser and then offered at Dust Off 2011 (Vancouver’s Burning Man event) and at Workless Party Carnival 2011.
Inside the grotto, you will find a magical sanctuary decorated in hues of turquoise, flowers, cushions, treasure chests and seashells…
You will be greeted by the grotto mermaid who offers the legendary Siren’s kiss (no strings attached) to those who enter her lair – um i mean – lagoon… She will enthrall you with a fairytale story in which you are the central character…
Pirates and Sailors beware!! You just might be loved and adored…
You are an amazing healer. I visited with you at the Masquerade party and for days afterward I felt the waves of your healing love. ~ Cassandra Wilson, Vancouver BC
