On January 30, 2015, I posted “A Mermaid’s Dream Home” video on my blog (about the amazing Shell House in Mexico) so I had been thinking about cool homes for a few days.
So it’s interesting timing that on Feb.3rd, I found out I’d be losing my own home in Vancouver. Our building was purchased by a new landlord and they are renovicting us.

I’ve lived here for 8.5 years and it’s where I’ve built my private practice and workshops as a spiritual mentor, counselor and teacher of Enchantment.
It’s been such a sanctuary and I’m deeply grateful to my previous landlords Ole and Jytte for creating such an affordable, safe and well-loved building.

Everyone in our building got the same “renoviction” letter so I’ve spent the month of February researching our options as tenants..
This has involved consulting advocates, coordinating meetings, talking to politicians, dealing with the Residential Tenancy Branch and doing interviews with media.

For now, I want to share what I’m envisioning for a new home in case you hear of something!
New Home Wish List:
~ 2 or 3 bedroom suite (house or apartment) in the East Vancouver area.
~ Preferably within 10 minute walking distance of Commercial Drive.
~ Near skytrain and/or major bus routes
~ Laminate flooring
~ Standard height ceilings.
~ Living room should be minimum 11’ x 17’ dimensions or larger.
~ Available for April 1, April 15 or May 1st.
~ Preferably less than $1700/month
