The Healing Garden at the Commercial Drive Festival
on Grant Street, just off Commercial. 12pm-6pm

It will be a lovely oasis of healing and relaxation!
Try a massage, reiki treatment, a tarot reading, a counsel session, receive a blessing,
50% of all funds raised go to the Commercial Drive Festival Fund.

2008 Healing Garden Guidelines:

1. The purpose of the Healing Garden is to bring awareness of healing modalities, services, organizations and practitioners that are available in the East Van community.

2. It's also a chance for local practitioners and businesses to give back to the community!

How so? Well, all practitioners and organizations must offer their services or products by donation only at the Healing Garden!
(you may have a "suggested donation amount" sign, to help people along.)

3. If you have no services nor products to offer, but you wish to educate or provide information, that is possible too.

Examples: Meditation info, upcoming wellness course or wellness event info, raw food info...

4. 50% of all proceeds go to the Commercial Drive Fest fund. This helps towards producing the infrastructure of the festival. (licenses, expenses with city hall, admin)

5. Each practitioner/organization must bring their own gear, equipment and setup for the day.
example: a tent or gazebo, tables, chairs, massage table, signage, promotional materials.

6. The theme is a "Healing Garden" so each practitioner may decorate their own space with flowers and similar themes. Let's create a beautiful space and relaxing atmosphere for people to enjoy!

Space in the healing garden is on a first come, first serve basis... so earlier is better!

NOTE:
It is suggested that practitioners offer mini-sessions instead of full-length sessions.
e.g. 15 to 20 minute sessions in reiki, massage, tarot readings etc.
